    Charlotte Maria Church (born February 21, 1986) is a Welsh singer and television presenter. She rose to fame in childhood as a classical crossover singer before branching into pop music in 2005. By 2007, she had sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and is now hosting the third series of her Channel 4 chat show “The Charlotte Church Show”.

    Early life

    Church was born Charlotte Maria Reed in Llandaff, a district of Cardiff, Wales. She was raised a Roman Catholic by her mother, Maria, who was separated from Church’s biological father. Church was adopted by her mother’s second husband, James Church in 1998. Her break came at 11 when she sang “Pie Jesu” over the telephone on the television show “This Morning” in 1997, followed by her performance on ITV’s Big, Big Talent Show in 1998. This led to concerts at Cardiff Arms Park, the Royal Albert Hall and opening for Shirley Bassey in Antwerp. She also received a vocal scholarship to Howell’s School Llandaff in Cardiff where she started in 1998. She balanced performing and school with help from tutors for when she was on the road and said in many interviews that she was “just like every other girl her age”. (more…)

    Charlize Theron

    Charlize Theron (born August 7, 1975), is a South African-American actress and former fashion model. She is best known for her portrayal of serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the film Monster, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress.

    Early life

    Theron was born in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa, the daughter and only child of Charles and Gerda Theron, who is of German and French descent and took over her husband’s business after his death. Theron’s first language is Afrikaans. She is also fluent in English and speaks some Xhosa. “Theron” is a Occitan surname (originally spelled Théron) pronounced in Afrikaans as “Tronn”, although she has said that she prefers the pronunciation “Thrown”.     Charisma Carpenter

    Charisma Lee Carpenter (born July 23, 1970) is an American actress. She is best known for playing the character Cordelia Chase in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel.

    Biography

    Early life

    Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, the youngest child of Chris, a bird sanctuary employee, and Don Carpenter, a salesman. She is of Cherokee and Mexican ancestry. Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas and her family moved around often while she was growing up. When she was 15, her family moved to Rosarito city, Mexico and then to San Diego where she attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. After graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. Once she returned to San Diego again she worked as a video store clerk, an aerobics instructor, and in property management.     Chandra North (born July 31, 1973 in Dallas, Texas, USA) is an American supermodel.

    A dark haired, blue eyed fashion model who found prominence in the early 1990s, she has featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue on multiple occasions and can still be seen in advertising and magazine editorials to this day.
